Thank you for visiting our Hanoverian breeding farm on the Internet. We welcome your inquiries; don't hesitate to call or email us for more information about our horses. Our mission is to breed horses that will prove lifelong partners for both the amateur and the professional, focusing on rideability, temperament, movement, soundness and beauty. All of our mares have been chosen for their impeccable bloodlines and the stallions we breed to are all selected for their superb test scores and performance record. Located in the heart of the Hanoverian breeding region of Kehdingen, along the Elbe River and close to the North Sea coast, our 250 year old farm has been devoted for decades to the breeding of exceptional Hanoverian horses. Our Aunt Anneliese Jungclaus, a renowned breeder in her own right, established breeding operations here in 1934 with the mare Allerufer by Allerhand out of Jalta by Jassy. Three of her daughters (by Duellant and Förster) in turn founded additional mare lines. Hanoverian legends such as Grande, Frustra II and Duellant, all of whom sired exceptional performance horses for both dressage and jumping, form the basis of our mare line. The breeding tradition at Gut Neuensteden has been carried on by Ilsemarie Wrede and her family since 1985. Success at regional and national breeding and performance shows speaks for itself. The introduction of the thoroughbred blood of exceptional stallions like Forrest xx and Lauries Crusador xx has above all contributed to the refinement and high performance potential of our horses. The most successful dressage horse bred on our farm to date is "Fallada M," who brought success to France at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens for rider Karen Tebar, also competing in the European Championships in Hagen in 2005 and the World Equestrian Games in Aachen in 2006. Fallada's full brother Faletto and his rider Katharina Bethmann have also celebrated Grand Prix victories. Other examples of horses winning through Prix St.George Level include Wellington, Lena by Libanon, and Lauritz by Lauries Crusador. The internationally successful show jumpers El Lute (Fritz Walter Waldmann), Galloway (Lutz Gössing), and Petit Croix (Evelyn Blaton) likewise descend from our mare line. In addition to successful sport horse competitors, our mares have also produced a number of approved stallions, such as Argwohn I (Warendorf State Stud) and Argwohn II (Celle State Stud), Fisherman’s Friend (Celle, currently Australia), Lewinsky (Moritzburg State Stud), Glacier (Saxony), Wesselton River Blue (Lower Saxony), Pianist (Rhineland), Weltadel (Bavaria), and Donnerwelt (USA). Dressage horse breeding
is our primary focus. Today some 50 horses live at our farm 35 of our
own and 15 boarders. The fresh air and quality soil of the marshes and
pastures create an optimum environment for the horses. Each year about
10 foals out of our own and boarded mares are born and lovingly raised
here under ideal conditions
on acres of one of the best pasture lands for horses in Germany and
are handled from birth. You will be able to see this in the ease to
which our horses respond to handling and training - not to mention their
loving and gentle attitudes and manners. |

All of the young horses at our farm are introduced to saddle, trained and shown competitively by our daughters themselves, all of whom have competed successfully into Prix St. Georges. All prospective brood mares are likewise tested under saddle before entering our breeding program. As juniors/young riders, our daughters were members of the Hanover-Bremen team, competing with considerable success in a number of German young rider national championships exclusively on horses bred and raised on our farm. As riders they were brought along by their mother, Holger Schmezer (Germany's current National Dressage Coach) and Siegfried Peilicke, who still serves as trainer today. |
